Citizenship by Investment FAQs

What is citizenship by investment?
faq arrow icon

Citizenship by investment is a legal, government-approved way to become a citizen of another country by making a qualifying investment, such as a donation to a national fund or the purchase of approved real estate. Unlike residency by investment, which gives you the right to live in a country, citizenship gives you a second passport and the full rights of a citizen.

How much does citizenship by investment cost, and how long does it take?
faq arrow icon

Minimum investments across the nine programmes we offer range from USD 90,000 for São Tomé & Príncipe, the most affordable, to USD 400,000 for Turkiye. Most applications take between 2 and 7 months from starting the process to obtaining citizenship. Your advisor will give you the full cost and timeline for your chosen programme during your consultation.

Can I include my family in a citizenship by investment application?
faq arrow icon

Yes. You can include your spouse and children in one application, and many programmes also accept dependent parents and, in some cases, siblings. Age limits differ by country. Antigua & Barbuda, Grenada and St. Lucia accept children up to 30, while Turkiye accepts children up to 18.

Can I keep my current passport, and do I have to live in the country?
faq arrow icon

Yes, you can keep your current passport. All nine programmes we offer permit dual citizenship, so you do not need to give up your existing nationality. Several, including St. Kitts & Nevis, São Tomé & Príncipe, Naoero and Vanuatu, also have no requirement to live in or visit the country. Requirements differ between programmes, so your advisor will confirm the rules for yours.

Which citizenship by investment programme is best for me?
faq arrow icon

The best programme depends on your budget, how quickly you need citizenship, where you want to travel and who you want to include. Visa-free access ranges from 93 countries with São Tomé & Príncipe to 162 with St. Kitts & Nevis. A consultation with our advisors is the best way to compare the options against your goals.

Residency by Investment Programmes

Residency by investment lets you and your family obtain legal residency in another country by making a qualifying investment in its economy, such as real estate, a business or a government fund. It gives you the right to live, work and study in your new country and, in some countries, can lead to citizenship after a set period.
